Q&A with Julie Dwyer
Where are you from?
League City, TX. League City is a coastal town on the south side of Houston, about 30 mins from Galveston. Before moving out to Austin, I was finishing my finance degree at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx.
What is your role in Whisper Valley? What attracted you to the role?
I am the Lifestyle Manager at Whisper Valley. In college at The University of Tampa (UT), I was in my sorority’s social committee. That is where I discovered all the steps it takes to put together an event. I love watching people enjoy the events that have been put together.
What types of programs are you looking forward to putting together for homeowners?
I am looking forward to starting the cooking classes! I know that it has been a class that people have missed. The program has been on pause due to COVID, but I am looking to get it started again.
What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to camp in my free time. If I’m not at work, I will hardly be on my phone. I try to get out of town and head to state parks with my boyfriend and our dog Bleu (like Bleu Cheese)! My free time is mostly spent with my dog. If my dog can’t come, I’ll probably not attend either. I spend a lot of time at work, so when I’m at home with my boyfriend and pup, I value that time.
What’s your favorite food?
Mexican food! I love some fresh shrimp enchiladas or beef fajitas. I don’t get out on the town a lot so I’m always accepting recommendations!
Who are your favorite sports teams?
I’m not a big sports person, but since I’m from Houston, I’ll have to say The Texans and The Astros. I don’t watch too much sports, I’m usually hiking somewhere!
