Austin Among Best Cities for Millennials
A new report named Austin one of the best cities for Millennials. Meyers Research LLC recently compiled a “Millennial Desirability Index” based on the housing markets with the most job opportunities, affordability and lifestyle. Austin came No. 3 on the list.
While Dallas and Houston edged out Austin in this list, Meyers Research identified Austin as having the best “fun factor” for Millennials, in addition to relative housing affordability and job opportunities. Technology & Job Growth
Forbes recently identified Austin as one of the best cities for future job growth. Already booming with tech start-ups and wired with ultra high-speed Google Fiber, Austin’s major employers include Dell, Apple, Google and Whole Foods. The Austin metro area also added over 40,000 new jobs from October 2017-2018 — the second best performing among the 50 largest metro areas.
